Course details
The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) came into force in May 2018. If you have been tasked with handling personal data within your organisation in any significant capacity, then this course is ideal for you. This course has been written in conjunction with data privacy specialist lawyers, Clayden Law, so you can be sure we’ve got you covered.
This 60-minute course provides the starting point for any data protection training and is perfect for you if you handle personal data within an organisation; whether it’s a business, charity or public sector function.
The course provides an introduction and some background to the new Data Protection Act and the GDPR which has been incorporated within this Act.
It talks about why the legislation has been introduced; the similarities and differences between the old regime and the new one; and the enhanced rights we have in relation to the processing of our personal data.
Upon completion of this course, the learner will have knowledge of:
